Seasoned corporate executive Antoine Chaya serves as senior director for strategic accounts at Oracle Corporation in Redwood Shores, California. A former managing partner at Global Crown in San Francisco, Antoine Chaya earned both his MBA and Ph.D. in information technology management from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).
One of the world’s top scientific and technological research institutions, Georgia Tech is taking a leading role in the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation initiative. Through the spearheading efforts of Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, the public-private partnership aims to encourage growth, entrepreneurship, evolution, and technology access throughout the state of Georgia.
With industry and education working hand in hand, the new organization will concentrate on sustaining, transformational, and foundational initiatives that follow the principles of talent, diversity, identity, correctness, and sustainability. Initiatives will include low-cost high, impact programs in K-12 Digital Readiness and Regional Industry/Education Collaboratives.
Pilot programs will center on lab-to-market tech transfer, digital resources, and education, advancing agriculture, and more, which are supported by private-public partnerships. Some of the initial pilot projects include the Traffic Monitoring and Communication System in Valdosta and the Civic Data Science for Equitable Development in Savannah. Georgia Tech’s Smart Cities and Inclusive Innovation managing director Debra Lam is the new organization’s executive director.
